Team Nadine Gordimer’s project is titled Nutritional Value Estimator for Nigerian Foods. The project addresses Nigeria’s triple burden of malnutrition—undernutrition, hidden hunger, and rising obesity—by developing a data-driven model that helps individuals, families, schools, and NGOs estimate the nutritional value of common Nigerian meals. By combining data analysis and machine learning, the team aims to make nutrition information more accessible and actionable, improving health outcomes across communities.
