This project documents the early-stage, human-factors-driven design of a wearable system intended to detect falls and capture motion and physiological data surrounding fall events.
The focus at this stage is system architecture and design decisions informed by human movement, usability, and safety considerations.
- System architecture defined
- Electronic schematics completed
- Physical prototyping and firmware development planned
- Motion sensing using an IMU
- Physiological context via wearable sensors
- Placement, comfort, and long-term wearability
- Minimizing user error in safety-critical scenarios
This repository will be expanded as the project progresses into prototyping and evaluation.
