Metadata extraction
The African Digital Research Repositories Mapping resource interactive map extends the work of the IAI to include organizational, governmental, and international repositories. It also maps the interactions between research repositories. This repository hosts the dataset with listings, as currently defined by Wikipedia, Research Organization Registry (ROR), ROARMAP, Scholia, LIBSENSE, Google Scholar, Zenodo, Figshare, Dimensions, Open Science Framework (OSF), Academia.edu, The Lens, and OK-MAPS.
The African Digital Research Repositories Mapping spreadsheet is housed in the AfricArXiv google drive, from which it is linked to KUMU Maps for visualization. The spreadsheet currently lists the Research Institution repositories, ROR institutions, Research Institution libraries, Search by Country and Countries.
This contains data on organizational, governmental and international repositories including the accepted file formats, URL, City , Country, the host institution and the Open Science Policy document where applicable.
ROR (Research Organization Registry) is a community-led registry of open, sustainable, usable, and unique identifiers for every research organization in the world. The sheet contains data on the name of organization, URL, ROR ID, WikiData ID, Country, City.
This section contains data on various African journals and publishers including their Institution Name/ Label, Type, URL, Description, Country, City, Host Institution, Languages, Software, Open Sciene Policy, ROR ID and Image
Lists down the various institution libraries, URL, Country, City and Open Science Policy
The Search by Country sheet, consists of links leading up to research and research institutions listed by the named registries. These include: Google Scholar, ROR, Figshare, Dimensions, Scholia, The Lens, OSF, OK MAPS.
This sheet contains the 54 independent countries, 3 dependencies, and one disputed territory, their wikipedia entry URL and their flags in svg format. The flags can be extracted from Wikimedia Commons
This sheet contains tabulated entries of various metrics such as cumulative sums for the software column, Repositories per countries and their graphical representations

Files for new and updated ROR records are created by the ROR metadata curation lead and curation advisory board as part of the process managed in ror-updates. These can be accessed via Zenodo and are in JSON format.

The decolonise science Zenodo extraction
Navigate to the ROARMAPsearch by country page. Since we are mapping African institutions, filter the search by Africa and subsequently by the African Region or country that you would like to access. From the research institution Landing page, grab the relevant links in which in this case are the Policymaker name, Policymaker URL, Policy URL, Repository URL and the Content types specified under the mandate.
This is a compendium with case studies that have been solicited with the help of the LIBSENSE policy working group. They represent a broad range of open access/open science policy development initiatives from the perspectives of those involved in developing and implementing them. The representative universities cover a range of public and private institutions where research activity is taking place.
Navigate to the LIBSENSE Regional Open Science Policy Development Workshop document on Zenodo. Extract the links as per the requirement i.e the policy description lists whether the institution has a working policy document with links attached. Copy this links address and add to the Repositores spreadsheet, Open Science Policy Column.
