Goals

• Discuss sprint 26 progress for the server and ui teams

Discussion Topics

• Said discussed what the cause was behind the deployment isFavorite property not being persisted (Marc discovered this issue while implementing the deployments favorite functionality). Please see #105 for more information.
• The team discussed the current state of the wiki functionality in the UI. The team also tested the wiki functionality through Marc's instance.
• The team also discussed the current state of the deployment functionality in the UI. The team tested the deployments functionality through Marc's instance (it is the most up to date instance).
• Waleed discussed his progress on the wiki end to end test suites (please see #87 for more information).
  • The team discussed the fact that the server does not return items, such as wiki sections and wiki pages, in the order of which they where created or updated. The team discussed potential solutions, such as sorting the returned items on the client side or exposing filter properties on the server side (the server would return sorted results based on the client request). However, this is currently not a priority and will be implemented later.
  • Waleed also discussed the difficulties he was having with targeting the wiki section and wiki page DELETE button in the drop down menu that appears when the user right clicks on a wiki section or wiki page. Marc informed Waleed how he can add an id attribute to the material UI menu such that the DELETE button can be targeted by the end to end test suites. Waleed will implement what Marc showcased and close this issue by tonight.
• Waleed discussed his progress on the deployments end to end test suites (please see #88 for more information). Waleed has currently finished around 35% of the needed end to end test suites. Waleed is going to continue working on the end to end test suites tonight and will close this issue. Waleed also informed Marc that clicking the EDIT button when a deployment is edited does not redirect the user to the main deployments page.
• Marc discussed his progress on the @mars-man/models package integration (please see #64 and #66 for more information). The integration has been completed and bugs have been ironed out for everything besides projects, project lanes and project tasks. Marc is currently working on completing the integration for projects, project lanes and project tasks. This progress will be tracked in a new issue, #90. Please note that we have decided to close #64 and #66 and have created a new issue for the projects, project lanes and project tasks integration (#90) to make it easier for the team to track the integration progress.
• Marc discussed and showcased all the deployment improvements he has implemented, as part of #70. The team also tested all the new deployment enhancements together to make sure everything functions as intended.
• SEG4105 - Said discussed his progress on the workstations API issue (please see #3 for more information). Said discussed all the changes he had to make to implement the 2 GET workstation APIs that Marc and Waleed have used to implement the workstations list and workstations creation functionality. As previously mentioned, this issue is a rather large one (19 tasks) and is incrementally being worked on by Said as needed. Therefore, this issue will be bumped up to the next sprint. Please note that this issue will not be bumped up again next sprint, as 2 REST API's remain. The remaining 2 REST APIs will be implemented this upcoming sprint, after which this issue will be closed.
• SEG4105 - Marc discussed all the work he had to perform to retrieve all the workstations and display them in a table in the UI. Marc also demoed the workstations table and showcased the workstations menu that contains the EDIT and DELETE options that will be implemented this upcoming sprint. Please see #6 for more information.
• SEG4105 - Waleed discussed all the work he had to perform in to implement the workstation creation form and to make the POST API request. Waleed also discussed how he had to collaborate with Marc to make sure that when the creation of a workstation is successful, the workstation is added and displayed in the table. Waleed also demoed the workstation creation form and showcased all the options that can be used by teachers and IT admins during the creation of a workstation for a student. Please see #7 for more information.
• SEG4105 - The team discussed how the issue Waleed is going to work on this upcoming sprint, the workstation proxy page used by students, should be implemented (please see #5 for more information). Said explained the different deployment scaling methods and the different REST APIs that can be used to turn a deployment on and off. Said also discussed how the iframe that is going to display the virtual workstation interface should be created and used.
• SEG4105 - The team also collectively tested the entire UI to make sure that all the new features that were implemented work in harmony together.
