An interactive data visualization and analysis of fatal shooting victims in Philadelphia from January 2015 to April 2025, based on publicly available data from the Philadelphia Police Department via OpenDataPhilly.

This project was developed as part of Drexel University's INFO 659 course. The primary goals of the project were:
- To understand the profile of a fatal shooting victim in Philadelphia.
- To identify where fatal shootings occur.
- To examine how these trends have changed over time.
- Source: OpenDataPhilly - Shooting Victims Dataset
- Time Frame: January 2015 – April 2025
- Data Includes: Victim demographics, date and location of incident, type of wound, officer involvement, etc.
- Most fatal shooting victims are Black, non-Latino males between the ages of 20–29.
- Shootings involving head or chest wounds are significantly more likely to be fatal.
- 92% of fatal shooting victims are male.
- Geospatial visualizations and heatmaps help reveal high-risk neighborhoods.
- The data shows consistent patterns over the 10-year period, with some yearly variation.
