Hi guys
These are the queries I had around pathogen mortality please. In summary:

  • The mortality calculation doesn't seem to be consistent with Hipsey et all (2008) equation 9
  • Salinity driven mortality is hardwired to be off
  • Is the /35 included in the user specified salinity factor (see Hipsey et all (2008) eq 9), or does it need to be in the code
    Ta

Hi MB
I think the salinity effect is included - its computed, and then incremented below to also include temp.
You are correct the coefficient used needs to have the /35 built into it, relative to Eq9 of the original paper.

Actually - My apologies, I see that fAOC is 1, so you are right that this will disable it.

So the correction is that fAOC needs to default to 0 .... so that if that term is absent the salinity scaling will occur.

Thanks Matt - This looks good now, except the /35 query on c_SM. Should this be included in the algorithm? Thanks!!
