Build

  • Built using maya-usd v0.31.0 (openUSD v24.11) for Maya 2026

Highlights

  • Viewport filters for Hydra data (e.g. mesh, curves, camera, lights)
  • Isolate select for Hydra data (previously only Maya meshes were supported)
  • Ability in Storm to control the IBL texture size
  • Example code to how to integrate custom GLSL shader and bind to a Hydra primitive
  • Extened example code for Flow Viewport API (translation of meshes, selection highlighting, visibility)
  • Various bugfixes viewport update and stability improvements

Known Issues

  • Assigning materials to USD prims doesn't update the viewport immediately. Renaming the material or toggling between VP2/Hydra Storm will trigger an update
  • UDIMs do not render correctly with MaterialX or USD data
