Purpose

  • ...
This pull request introduces several improvements and additions across the codebase, primarily focused on workflow optimizations, enhanced test infrastructure, and documentation. The most significant changes include refining GitHub Actions workflow triggers to be more targeted, adding a detailed README for test data, and improving the e2e test suite's screenshot handling and reporting.

Workflow Optimizations:

  • Refined the triggers for GitHub Actions workflows (build-docker-images.yml, ci.yml, and tests.yml) to only run on changes to relevant files and directories, reducing unnecessary workflow runs and improving CI efficiency. Paths for source, configuration, and workflow files are now explicitly specified for both push and pull_request events. [1] [2] [3] [4]

End-to-End Test Infrastructure Enhancements:

  • Added an empty __init__.py to tests/e2e-test/config to ensure the directory is recognized as a Python package, improving import reliability in tests.
  • Improved screenshot management in the e2e test suite by creating a dedicated screenshots directory, introducing configuration for capturing screenshots, and adding a utility to sanitize screenshot filenames for compatibility and uniqueness. [1] [2]

Documentation:

  • Added a comprehensive README to tests/e2e-test/testdata, providing an overview of the solution accelerator, its features, deployment instructions, use cases, licensing, and disclaimers. This enhances onboarding and understanding for contributors and users.
