We need some functionality to measure the distance of points in the original image.

Still working on it, but please let me know if something like this could be added to your repo.

I'm not sure it's a good idea to add it to this repo. I think there are already a lot of unrelated things in this repo. My goal is rather to split it (the QuPath part could go in spimdata extras), the registration part somewhere else, etc.

So why not, but you know what I think of this repo's organisation

For my users it would be very convenient if they could install all the Ellipsoid related stuff from one update site, which seems to be ABBA, is it? Thus, it would be very nice if we could host this distance computation code next to the code where the EllipsoidTransforms are built and applied.
We can think of a long term better strategy, but I feel in terms of update site and dependency management, putting it here would be the easiest for now. OK?

I currently don't have something that would lend itself as a place for this. I could make a new one, but just for one function it's maybe a bit of an overkill?

@NicoKiaru Maybe the best is if I provide this functionality as a groovy script to my users? Then I can quickly change it and you don't need to host it. What do you think?

We can put groovy scripts also in the update site.

What I was dreaming of would be to have github gists synchronized with Fiji.
