What is Tesseract Utils ?

Tesseract Utils (T.U for short) is an addon that add a mix of QoL features and useful tools, inspired by modern vanilla and mods like world edit and axiom. 95% of the features are CREATIVE ONLY.

I'm well aware this addon can be a bit overwhelming with the amount of thing it adds and the complexity of usage. You should see it as learning how to use a new software/app, it can take time and there might be feature that you will never use or even know it existed.

My advice is to mess with every features to figure out how to use them. Practice is the best way to learn.

What does it add exactly ?

Here is a raw list of every feature:

1. Commands

  • Reworked /give
  • Reworked /enchant
  • Reworked /kill
  • Reworked /playsound
  • Reworked /effect
  • Add a /summon command
  • Add a /inv command
  • Add a // or /edit command similar to world edit commands:
    • /edit setblock
    • /edit set
    • /edit replace
    • /edit move
    • /edit rotate
    • /edit stack
    • /edit copy
    • /edit paste
    • /edit shape
    • /edit pos1
    • /edit pos2
    • /edit tool
    • /edit line
    • /edit plane

2. Tools

  • Wooden axe: selection tool
  • Wooden shovel: extruder
  • Wooden hoe: permanent mob setter
  • Wooden sword: mob remover
  • Shape tool: spawn shape (any item can become a shape tool)

3. Configs

  • Insta-place
  • Insta-break
  • No flight momentum
  • Extra F3 debug info (coords, biome, mobcap, targeted mob/block info)
  • Disabled red night vision
  • No block update (only for commands and buildmode)
  • Ignore air (for commands and buildmode)
  • Flight speed
  • Increased reach
  • Fuzzy extruder
  • Extruder limit
  • Buildmode keybinds
  • Display selection box
  • Display shape

4. Other QoL features

F3-F4 gamemode swap

Allow to quickly swap gamemode between:

  • Creative
  • Survival
  • No-clip

Increased chat limit

The chat limit is increased to 512 characters instead of only 100 (works only on server if it has T.U)

Music control

You can statt or stop MC's music by pressing corresponding keybind (default: M to start, L to stop)

5. Keybinds

  • Config menu: F6
  • Shape menu: F7
  • Undo: - (SUBTRACT)
  • Redo: + (ADD)
  • Start music: M
  • Stop music: L
  • Buildmode: ALT

6. Buildmode

Buildmode can be accessed by pressing ALT.

Beware, when buildmode is ON most unrelated actions and tools are disabled, use the Normal mode to use them.

Modes:

  • Normal
  • Selection
  • Copy/paste
  • Block set
  • Extruder
  • Shape
  • Delete
  • Replace

7. Shape menu

This menu is used with the Shape mode

  • Shapes: sphere, cylinder, cube, pyramid
  • Volume: full, hollow, open
  • Save to tool button: save the current parameters to the item currently held and can be the used to spawn shape with it (Only in Normal mode)

Can i use it on servers ?

Yes this addon is compatible with servers, player that doesn't have that addon can still join server that have it, however only player with T.U can use it to its max on server.
