Define priors with nested parameters

We need to have a structured way of reading parameters that represent parameters within a nested structure. For instance, to define a prior on the scale of infectiousness function from an empirical file, one must type {infectiousness_fn:{EmpiricalFile:scale}} in the parameters file. This could be done with a dot notation or something similar.
