Background TulipMania (lore)

Between 1630 and 1637, tulips became an object of speculation in the Netherlands, with buyers spending ludicrous sums on them. The maximum price achieved for an Admirael van Enchhysen tulip was 6,000 guilders. By comparison, the average annual income at the time was 150 guilders. Tulip mania is regarded as the first speculative bubble, which then burst on February 7, 1637.
