  2. All 4 databases, views, automations, and agent instruction pages are included
  3. Skip to Step 3 below

Option B: Programmatic Provisioning via MCP

  1. Open Claude Desktop or Cowork with Notion MCP connected
  2. Follow the provisioning walkthrough to create databases via MCP
  3. Follow the view setup guide to create database views

Step 1: Set Up Paper Capture

See notero-setup.md for detailed setup.

Readwise (Highlight Sync)

If you read PDFs in Readwise Reader, highlights sync automatically to Notion:

  1. Connect Readwise to your Notion workspace
  2. Configure export to your Reading Lists or Research Papers database

See readwise-setup.md for detailed setup.

Step 3: AI-Powered Research (Optional)

Cowork Plugin

For AI-powered paper search across 6 academic connectors:

  1. Install the plugin: download from GitHub Releases
  2. Connect Notion + research connectors in Settings > Connectors
  3. Use /research "your topic" to discover and ingest papers
