🧩 What You Need to Use This Blocklist

This blocklist works mostly with tools like:

  • Pi-hole
  • Adguard Home
  • Adblock Plus
  • uBlock Origin

You will need one of these or a similar DNS or ad-blocking tool installed on your device or network. These tools let you add custom blocklists like this one to block unwanted trackers.

If you do not have any, look for a beginner guide for installing Pi-hole or Adguard Home on Windows or your router.

📥 How to Install on Windows

Step 1: Download the Blocklist File

  1. Go to the release page linked above.
  2. Find a file that ends with .txt or .list. This is the blocklist file.
  3. Download it to a folder you can find easily, like Downloads.

Step 2: Open Your Blocking Tool

Open the ad blocker or DNS filtering software you use. The steps below show how to add the blocklist URL or file:

  • If your tool takes list URLs:
Copy the raw URL of the blocklist file from the repository or releases.

  • If your tool imports files:
Open the blocklist file you downloaded.

Step 3: Add the Blocklist

Add the URL or file in your tool under custom blocklists or filter lists.

  • In Pi-hole:
Go to Group Management > Adlists and add the URL or upload the file.

  • In Adguard Home:
Go to Filters, then Custom filtering rules or add a new blocklist URL.

  • In Browser Ad blockers:
Find the option to add filter lists and use the URL if available.

Step 4: Update and Apply

Once added, refresh or update your filters. This gets the latest blocklist content activated in your tool. Restart your browser or network service if needed.

❓ Common Questions

Can I use this on any browser?

Yes. This blocklist works with ad blockers that support adding custom lists. It works better with system-wide DNS blockers.

Do I need to install anything else?

No. Just add the blocklist to your existing blocker tool. No extra software is needed.

How often is the list updated?

The list is regularly updated by the maintainer to keep up with new tracking domains.

Will this block content on government websites?

It focuses on trackers and telemetry domains. It should not block normal website content.
