Loading new data sources

You can load new data sources into the AIP via the admin client

Selecting the iati source file

1. Log into the AIP Admin tool. The url, username and password will be provided to you by the AIP administrator.
2. On the left you will see "Activity Source" under the Administration section.
3. Click "Activity Source" and you will be brought to the Activity Source screen which will allow you to select the different activity files.
4. Look for the title of the iati activity file you wish to load.
5. Select the check box to the left of the title
6. Once you have selected all your activity files, click on the save button at the bottom of the screen

Loading and deploying

To see the new sources in the aip you will need to load the data and deploy the site

1. Navigate to the AIP Admin tool landing page
2. Click on the "Load iati data" button
3. You will be asked for a password. This is the same as the password used to log into the admin tool
4. The admin tool may not be responsive for a period of time. Keep refreshing the screen periodically until you see the top entry in the deployment logs (bottom part of the admin screen) as "Loading process completed". This could take 30 - 40 minutes
5. Deploy the site.

FAQ

I can't see the iati activity file i'm looking for

Click on the "Refresh Sources" button at the top of the activity screen. If the activity file you are looking for is still not there it may be within another organisational source

What happens if the site is deployed whilst loading data.

The site may deploy correctly, however there is a chance that all the data may not all be available. It is advised that you deploy the site again once the load has completed to ensure all the data is available.
