NES CHR Tools for Aseprite

NES CHR tools is an aseprite-extension that allows Aseprite users to import CHR banks from .nes files and export Aseprite images to .chr and .s files

You now can:

• Import all banks from an .nes file into single files
• Import all banks from an .nes file into layers
• Import .chr files
• Export .chr files
• Import .s files
• Export .s files

How it works

• Remove previous version
• Install the extension by double clicking on nes-chr-tools.aseprite-extension
• A new menu: NES CHR Tools will appear under file menu.
• Pattern tables will be imported into 4 color indexed 128w x 256h images
• To export an image, the image must have a 4 color palette and be 128w x 256h (app active frame will be exported)
