Thank you for creating and maintaining this helpful package.
Emacs has built-in markdown-ts-mode which could be easily supported by smartparens.
I've run
markdown-modetests formarkdown-ts-modeand every test passes. I'm not sure if there is a point of adding those tests as a separate suite.
