What you need:

Steps:

  1. Power on Fujinet
  2. Power on Atari
  3. Boot into CONFIG
  4. Select SD
  5. Select Atari DOS folder.
  6. Select Atari DOS 2.0s.atr
  7. Mount to Device Slot 1 (D1)
  8. Mount as R/O. DEVICES/SLOTS should re-appear.
  9. Press D to select device slots.
  10. Use arrow keys to select device slot 2
  11. Press N.
  12. For Host Slot, press 1 (which is currently defined as SD)
  13. For disk type, press 1 for 90K (single density).
  14. For the name, enter test.atr
  15. Are you sure? Y
  16. Ensure that test.atr is now visible in device slot 2. It is mounted READ/WRITE.
  17. Press OPTION to boot. If using XL/XE system, keep option held down until DOS appears.
  18. Let DOS boot.
  19. At DOS menu, press I, followed by RETURN
  20. DRIVE TO FORMAT? 2 RETURN
  21. for, Y TO FORMAT DISK 2, press Y RETURN
  22. Wait for SELECT ITEM. No ERROR should appear.
  23. PRESS A RETURN
  24. FILE SPEC? RETURN
  25. Ensure 707 FREE SECTORS
  26. Press H RETURN
  27. DRIVE TO WRITE DOS FILES TO? 2 RETURN Wait for operation to complete. No error should occur.
  28. PRESS A RETURN
  29. FILE SPEC? RETURN
  30. Ensure 626 FREE SECTORS, DOS.SYS 037, DUP.SYS 042
  31. To quickly test the result, Press the Drive Swap button (left-most button of the two buttons on left)
  32. Ensure Blue LED flashes momentarily, indicating disk swap.
  33. Press M RETURN
  34. RUN AT ADDRESS? E477 RETURN .. the system should cold start.
  35. If running in XL/XE you will probably see BASIC after boot, type DOS to get to DOS.
  36. DOS menu should appear.
  37. Test done, power off.

Expected Result:

  • New 90K disk called TEST.ATR on local storage, containing Atari DOS 2.0S, that boots.
