If you are reading this file, it means that you attended the International Symposium on Plasma Assisted Combustion (SOPAC) conference in CentraleSupélec on the 29/09/2025, 30/09/2025 and 01/10/2025
and that you scanned the QR code on my poster "Towards a low-order analysis of NRP discharges influence on operability and NOx emissions in a gas turbine combustion chamber".
Here is the asbtract of this poster:
"Nanosecond Repetitively Pulsed Discharges (NRPD) have recently gained attention due to their potential for reducing nitrogen oxides (NOx) emissions and enhancing flame stabilisation.
However, the wide range of Plasma Assisted Combustion (PAC) parameters to be explored (e.g. discharge frequency, energy, duration, voltage, and electrode location) requires a rapid method
to evaluate PAC effects for industrial applications. This work proposes to address that requirement through a new methodology based on canonical combustion modelling in Cantera.
Integrating a recently developed Cantera PlasmaReactor into Chemical Reactor Networks (CRN), a low-cost methodology for evaluating PAC effects is set up.
Preliminary results on Lean Blow-Out (LBO) extension are presented for a swirled NH_3/air flame."
Please note that there are currently two distinct versions of CanteraPlasma.
The first version was developed based on cantera 3.1, but is too far behind to be merged in the latest Cantera release. Therefore, it is currently being updated in 3.2 to be soon merged within the official branch
of Cantera. It is however for now not yet functional.
Here are the links to the two versions of CanteraPlasma currently in existence:
- CanteraPlasma 3.1 (functional, used for the production of the results presented in the poster, but not maintained):

- CanteraPlasma 3.2 (not yet functional but will eventually be merged into the official release and be maintained):

Please also note that the development of the PlasmaReactor class work was carried out by Gaétan Bizot and Nicolas Barléon based on some previous work from Quentin Malé, Nicolas Barléon and Chen Bang-Shiuh.
Thanks for your interest in this work and don't hesitate to get in touch with us at gaetan.bizot@unifi.it !
P.S.: The pdf file of the poster will be uploaded here after the conference.
