🐞 Bug Bounty – $1,000 Reward

Put your skills to the test. Get paid. Get noticed.

Mountain Dev is offering a $1,000 bounty to the first developer who successfully fixes a key bug in the visgl/react-google-maps library.

But this is more than a bounty—it's a spotlight opportunity. If you can solve this, we want to talk to you about joining our team.

We’re a fast-growing software studio building high-impact web and mobile applications, and we value engineers who can dig deep into real-world issues and deliver clean, thoughtful solutions.

🔧 What’s the Challenge?

  • Fix the bug: Investigate and resolve Issue #563 in the react-google-maps package.
  • Submit your fix: Open a pull request linked to the issue.
  • Get paid: If your PR is accepted and resolves the problem for our use case, you’ll earn $1,000.
  • Get on our radar: Solving this bug shows you're exactly the kind of person we want to hire.

📦 Guidelines

  1. Carefully read and understand Issue #563.
  2. Fork the Vis.gl repo and work locally — we recommend testing your fix using the example pages provided.
  3. Submit a clean, well-commented pull request with your fix.
  4. Email us at [email protected] with the subject line:
    Bug Bounty – #563
    Include:
    • A link to your PR
    • Your GitHub profile
    • (Optional but encouraged) A short Loom video explaining your approach

🎯 Bonus: We’re Hiring

This isn’t just a bounty—this is a pipeline.
If your work stands out, we’ll reach out about our open Lead Developer role (remote, full-time, South America preferred).
This is your chance to skip the résumé stack and show us what you can really do.

✅ Notes

  • Bounty will be awarded to the first solution that fully resolves the issue and is either:
    • Accepted upstream by the Vis.gl team or
    • Accepted by Mountain Dev as a working fork or patch
  • If multiple PRs are submitted, we’ll evaluate the first successful and complete one based on clarity, functionality, and performance
  • Submissions will be reviewed on a rolling basis

Let’s see what you’ve got 🚀
