Closing with thanks @dependabot — TypeScript 7.0 is not adoptable here yet.

Web gate failure (Lint & Type Check, job 99031380372): lib/i18n/gt-site.test.ts fails with Cannot read properties of undefined (reading 'ESNext') because web/scripts/gt-site.mjs:115-117 does await import("typescript") and calls ts.transpileModule, and the TS 7.0 package ships the native tsc with no programmatic API (per the 7.0 announcement, the API returns in 7.1). typescript-eslint, which eslint-config-next pulls in, sits on the same TS 6 boundary, so the eslint step would fail next even with the script fixed. The macOS red on this run is an unrelated one-off [persistence-backlog-budget] timing miss on a web/-only diff.

Revisit at TS 7.1, or when eslint-config-next declares TS 7 support; a 6.x bump is the realistic next step and is welcome through the normal flow. Closing this version only, which also frees one of the three /web dependabot slots for eslint-config-next 16.x once #5673 lands.
