Dear both,

I have created the first draft of a pull-request template. There is no immediate action needed; I just wanted to make sure we don't forget about asking contributors to add their names and ORCIDs to the CITATION.cff file during the submission of their candidate models. We will also need to update the submission guidelines at some point.

Also, I don't know how to test if this template is actually being used. It probably needs to be on the default branch of the evaluation repository to work.

This should work. Is the idea to make this ready to use for the next IGRF? We could already create a new IGRF15eval repository to put these ideas there.

This template could be separated into sections, like "Are you submitting a candidate model?". And it's good to use a checklist like:

  • I have added all contributors and their ORCIDS to CITATION.cff

The submitter then ticks these off and makes it a more conscious check
