Straydeck collects the Agent sessions already running on your Mac, turns them into cards, and puts the work that needs your attention first. It keeps each task's progress, resources and terminal together, so parallel coding sessions are easier to resume and manage.
Requirements: macOS, Git, Python 3.9+, Rust, and a signed-in claude or codex
CLI.
git clone https://github.com/Icesource/straydeck.git ~/.claude-stray
bash ~/.claude-stray/install.shstray desktopThis builds the current checkout and starts the newest desktop binary. After editing or updating the source, quit Straydeck and run the same command again. The first source build can take a few minutes. The desktop then scans up to 20 recent Claude Code and Codex sessions from the last ten days, shows progress, and turns each eligible session into a real card; one real user turn is enough. It never inserts demo data. After the first card appears, press Option-3 for the board or Option-1 for the work surface.
- Sorts Claude Code and Codex sessions by who is waiting on you.
- Summarizes progress and collects related files, commits, MRs and issues.
- Reopens each session in its card with an embedded terminal.
- Splits work into isolated git-worktree sub-cards; merge them back or let them push an explicit MR/source branch when you ask.
- Provides a global Mac work surface, board, attention island and desktop pet.
tmux and ttyd are optional but required for embedded terminals and
sub-cards. For first-run details, LAN mode, troubleshooting and uninstalling,
