Overview

This repository contains the source code for a web application built using Express.js and MongoDB. The application is designed to manage students, interviews, and job listings for a career camp.

Features

Authentication

  • Sign Up: Users can create new accounts securely.
  • Log In: Existing users can log in securely using their credentials.
  • Log Out: Users can log out of their accounts securely.

Student Management

  • CRUD Operations: Users can perform CRUD operations to manage student records.
  • View Student Details: Users can view detailed information about each student.

Interview Management

  • CRUD Operations: Users can schedule, update, and delete interviews.
  • View Interview Schedule: Users can view a schedule of upcoming interviews.

Job Listings

  • CRUD Operations: Users can list, update, and delete job opportunities.
  • View Job Details: Users can view detailed information about each job listing.

Technologies Used

  • Express.js: A web application framework for Node.js.
  • MongoDB: A NoSQL database used for data storage.
  • Mongoose: An ODM (Object Data Modeling) library for MongoDB and Node.js.
  • HTML/CSS/JavaScript: Frontend technologies for building user interfaces and interactivity.
  • EJS: A simple templating language that lets you generate HTML markup with plain JavaScript.

Setup Instructions

  1. Clone the Repository: Clone the repository to your local machine.
  2. Install Dependencies: Install Node.js and npm if not already installed. Run npm install to install dependencies.
  3. Start MongoDB Server: Ensure that MongoDB server is running.
  4. Start the Server: Run npm start to start the server.
  5. Access the Application: Visit http://localhost:3000 in your web browser to access the application.

Folder Structure

  • controllers: Contains controller logic for handling different routes.
  • models: Defines MongoDB schema and models.
  • routes: Defines route handlers for different endpoints.
  • views: Contains EJS templates for rendering HTML pages.
  • public: Contains static files (e.g., CSS, client-side JavaScript).
