Hi, jul here!
Inspired by this website, I wanted my website written in HTML, CSS and vanilla JS* just like in good old days - no Tailwind, no NextJS, no Nuxt, no Astro, no Svelte, no Remix, no Vue, no Hugo, no Jekyll, no React, no Bootstrap, no Vite, no Webpack, no fancy shi.
- Be responsive, π±
- Not make requests to external cdn's and servers and when it is necessary display a warning,
- Have a transparent cards theme, πͺ
- Be super secure π
- It loads VERY fast with total data transfer around just 15kb π²
- Its code is clean β¨ No minifying, no code splitting.
- It looks cool π You have to admit it.
- It doesn't use any framework. Do I still have to explain why?
- It doesn't use <div> exclusively. There are many other awesome tags like <article>, <section> etc.
- It's minimalist, and I love it.
Note
I use Umami which is an open source website analytics tool that I run on my own server. It does NOT track you and does NOT use cookies. I won't share any data with anyone.
*Javascript will be used very little, only for some easter eggs, animated <title>, analytics and basic stuff.
It will NEVER be required to browse my website, I respect decision of users who have blocked scripts in their browser
ai could never.
