There is a workaround for this bug: kornelski/cargo-deb#17 I have added the unit and binary to the metadata rather.

I added support for the Debian/Ubuntu
cargo debtool.This is simply just an edit to your
Cargo.tomlfile. I have tested it and it seems to work on Xubuntu 25.04.
