There are plenty of advanced settings

Remove center doubling

If enabled removes the doubling artifact that is created if a shape key goes trough one side to another.

Keep original shape key

If enabled keeps the original shape key in the Split and the Join operation.

Manual batch mode

If enabled it goes to the next shape key in the list after performing the operator.

Use custom suffix

If enabled it allows the user to input their own suffix for the left and the right side. By default the addon comes with the suffixes: _L/_R, _l/_r, .L/.R, .l/.r

Preferred split suffix:

This defines what suffix should be used when using the split operator. By default it is set to _L

Mirror mode:

This lets you choose between the regular mirror and the topology mirror. Usefull if the default one fails.
