An old computer that was gathering dust in my house has now been turned into a home server that I use to do some of my work.
Like converting a USB printer to a network printer, I allocated some of its memory to set up a NAS. I also use it to practice things like Kubernetes or things that require a server.
I'm trying to push something here from what I'm doing with my home server.
These are its old hardware:
| Part | Description |
|---|---|
| CPU | AMD Athlon(tm) 64 X2 Dual Core Processor 3600+ |
| Memory | 3584MiB |
| Storage | 620GiB HDD |
| GPU | GeForce 6200 LE |
They are tired REALLY!
As you might guess, ubuntu server. I had no experience with Ubuntu before this home server :)
I installed docker on my home server to run each project as a container. These are the things you see:
1. PrintServer
I brought my USB printer into my home network.
