Per default, search is limited to the extent that is displayed on startup. When additional option
controls.searchControl.connector.searchVisibleExtentistrue(or any truthy value), instead use the extent that is currently shown.I'd prefer to use an option that needs to be set to limit the search to the initial extent but that would be incompatible to the established behavior.
