@jasonmadigan sorry for slow reply, I think that these additional PRs should be cherry-picked for rc2:

• fix: escape ginkgo focus regex, use gcr mirror for redis, and make ki… #723
  • because using docker.io might be problematic due to ratelimiting and licensing
• Update quick-start script default version #707
  • so that it is not forgotten to update the version
• fix: broker service selecting controller pods due to shared helm labels #704
  • helm install does not work due to this

These are strictly not needed for rc2 but still worth considering:

• fix gevals workflow and add failure detection to it #724
  • gevals test coverage is very low atm
• rename mcp-controller Deployment to mcp-gateway-controller #729
  • this unifies the controller name across different type of installation (kustomize, Helm, OLM)
  • it also updates clusterserviceversion (that's OLM thing) so maybe this is actually mandatory to have in rc2
