Jihyung Kim works for Network Science for Creative Industry (2024 Fall)

"Network Science for the Creative Industry" is a course offered under the Creative Technology Management major in the Techno-Art Division at Underwood International College, Yonsei University.

Notes

The "I" here is Jihyung Kim (김지형), CTM class of (Enterence year) 2024.

Homework 1 (70, 10%)

An essay after reading the book "Linked" by Albert-László Barabási. (2000-4000 words)

Homework 2 (100, 10%)

The homeworks of chapters 1 to 5 of "Network Science" by Albert-László Barabási.

Mid-Term (PPT File:95 Presentation:100, Total 5%)

Analysis about two scale-free datasets in Stanford large dataset. Then, comparing it with a non-scale-free network (Used ER model). Also, compared with a BA and BB model, trying to fit into BA and BB.

As Graphs.jl doesn't support a function for generating a BB model, it was made here.

The presentation file was made with Seona Jang.

The topic of Research changed in the Finals. Please note that.

Network analysis

As the TA provided the full Python code for Homework 3, I will not upload any codes for Homework 3.

Homework 4 (100, 10%)

An essay after reading the book "The Tipping Point" by Malcolm Gladwell. (2000-4000 words)

Homework 5 (75, 10%)

The homeworks of chapters 6 to 10 of "Network Science" by Albert-László Barabási.

Homework 6 (75, 10%)

Refer to https://networksciencebook.com/chapter/10 and explain the Bass*, SIS, SIR, SEIR* model.
The models with the * marks are the ones that aren't in the book by Barabasi.

Homework 7 (90, 10%)

Replicate the paper "A social network analysis of the spread of COVID-19 in South Korea and policy implications".

Research and Finals (Total 100, PPT & Presentation:5% Research Paper: 20%)

Regarding the research that conducted on partial web-Yonsei. (4000+ words for final paper)

My former teammate helped on the review with the paper.

The julia code for generating the BB model is different from the one in Homework 2.
