RubberDuckWorks is an open engineering laboratory focused on software architecture, systems thinking, continuous improvement, and AI-assisted engineering.
RubberDuckWorks exists to develop engineering knowledge before software is built.
The laboratory researches, documents, validates, and continuously improves the principles, methodologies, and decision-making processes that enable the creation of reliable software systems.
Unlike individual projects, which have a defined beginning and end, the laboratory is a permanent body of engineering knowledge. Every project contributes new observations, decisions, successes, failures, and lessons back into the laboratory, allowing engineering knowledge to accumulate over time.

The laboratory develops the capability to build better solutions.
By separating engineering methodology from project implementation, RubberDuckWorks creates a repeatable engineering system where every project begins with greater knowledge than the one before it.
Reality is observed, understanding is documented, methodology is refined, and software emerges as a consequence—not as the starting point.
