As of 49.7 the Advance Multiple Days... dialog only advances a set block of time. During that time, certain events could come up e.g. refresh of Personnel, Unit, and Contract Markets, or the end result of a long and difficult repair or refit could pass by.
I would like to see an addition to the dialog that adds some toggles to specify which events would interrupt the progress:
- Contract Market: during refresh, but ideally when there are actual contracts
- Personnel Market: like contracts, ideally when there is someone there (I don't think I've seen it empty, but it could happen). Might be nice to be able to choose a specific role (MechWarrior, for example, ignoring all others) but could be too complicated.
- Unit Market: I've never seen this empty, so on refresh would be OK
- Repair/replace: when a repair or replace action is complete or fails. Best for the multiple-month fixes on aerospace units
- Refit/customization: when a refit action is complete, or when the first check fails
- Arrival in destination system: only during interstellar transit, stop progressing when jumping into destination system
