[Issue] 01/05 Nightly - 0.50.03 SNAPSHOT - GM mode enabling flag in Campaign preset not storing properly

Brief Description *

Just what the title says, my preset won't save the start as GM flag. It seems to save everything else, but when I go into it it isn't on and starting a campaign doesn't have it enabled.

3. Steps to Reproduce

1. configure preset
2. go to save it and enable start as gm
3. doesn't start me as gm
4. when loading it to re-save it, flag is not checked.

I'm unable to replicate this issue. I've checked your preset and it has GM mode enabled and loading it into mhq has GM Mode enabled.

Weird, I was able to repro on my machine, fresh install, closed MHQ out and loaded the preset up and started again and it was still off.

And just to verify: you are absolutely, 100%, loading your unnamed preset and not another preset by mistake? None of the built-in presets start in GM Mode, for example.

Not seeing anything screwy in the log, it had the right unit name and other settings loading it up, now I can't reproduce.

Ok I see part of what I'm running into, if I save this;

It doesn't get populated into the campaign preset list... because it doesn't save it in the campaign presets folder. Can we get that adjusted to prevent confusion?

What happens if you load up bog standard campaign ops stractonn complete experience, flag GM on in customize and confirm and save as preset?

I never understood why the default location for the "Save as preset" option wasn't actually the folder presets are loaded from; if we could get that changed that would probably help a lot.

Yeah I would love a general 'here is all the custom stuff for this campaign' save location, running multiple campaigns in a single install is an exercise in insanity beyond the usual.

So what's most likely happening here is an order of operations issue. I would expect that we're initializing the campaign using the preset and then processing the preset save dialog. Meaning GM mode is set after the campaign has already been initialized, resulting in it being ignored unless you reload the preset.

This is working as intended. The start as GM function only works in the new campaign state. I'm going to pick it up to see if I can smooth that process out a bit, but no promises.
