I'm a Superintendent of Paramedic Operations transitioning into health data and informatics roles. I started taking CS courses in 2021 just out of curiosity, learned Java, then discovered Python and never looked back. After eleven years in EMS — and a few as a supervisor — I started seeing the same pattern everywhere: operationally complex systems generating enormous amounts of data, with almost none of it being used to actually improve how care gets delivered or how services get run. That's the problem I want to spend my career solving. I'm currently completing a Master of Data Science and building toward roles at the intersection of clinical operations and data infrastructure — health informatics, clinical data engineering, and health IT systems.
Containerized ETL system generating synthetic paramedic call data and ingesting it into PostgreSQL, with a Marimo dashboard tracking cumulative traumatic event exposure per provider. Designed to support proactive mental health intervention in EMS services. Python · Polars · PostgreSQL · Podman Offload Delay Simulation (in progress) Discrete event simulation modelling ambulance coverage during hospital offload delays, identifying minimum staffing thresholds during demand surges.
