I don't think ProtocolKey will be a suitable substitution. That key exists per "protocol", eg Skyrim/Oblivion/etc. So using it as a dictionary key will get a lot more collisions/replacements than you're after, I think.
I think you can stabilize by instead picking something like the loqui register's FullName member
