ModernPicker

ModernPicker is a sleek and modern Rainmeter skin that serves as a fast, efficient alternative to the PowerToys Color Picker. Designed with simplicity and style in mind, ModernPicker lets you quickly pick colors from anywhere on your desktop while displaying multiple color formats (HEX, RGB, etc.). Its customizable interface and built-in theme support ensure it seamlessly fits into any desktop setup.

Installation

1. Install Rainmeter:
   • Download and install Rainmeter from Rainmeter.net.
2. Download ModernPicker:
   • Clone this repository or download the latest release.
   • Extract the folder into your Documents\Rainmeter\Skins\ directory. You should have a folder named ModernPicker.
3. Load the Skin:
   • Right-click on the Rainmeter icon in the system tray.
   • Navigate to Skins > ModernPicker > Main and click on Main.ini to load the skin.

Usage

• Activate the Picker: Use the configured hotkey (set in the skin's settings) to open ModernPicker.
• Pick a Color: Hover over your desired area and click to capture the color.
• Copy Color Codes: The skin displays the color’s HEX and RGB values along with options to copy them directly to your clipboard.

Customization

ModernPicker is designed to be fully customizable. You can tweak its settings by editing the Vars,nek file:

• Color Formats: Adjust how colors are displayed (e.g., HEX, RGB, etc.).
• Themes: Modify light/dark theme settings to match your personal style.
• Layout: Change the size, position, and overall style of the interface to better suit your desktop.
