At the heart of reV are high-fidelity resource datasets that enable accurate geospatial renewable energy analysis. The reV resource data handlers utilize an optimized data pipeline to incorporate hundreds of terabytes of wind and solar data into comprehensive analyses. Currently, reV has access to:
-
National Solar Radiation Database (NSRDB)
- Physical Solar Model
- Spatial extent is North America and northern South America (insert image)
- Temporal range is 1998-2015
- 1/2 hourly temporal resolution (instantaneous)
- 4x4km spatial resolution
- SUNY India
- Spatial extent is South Asia (insert image)
- Temporal range is 2000-2015
- 1 hour temporal resolution (instantaneous)
- 10x10km spatial resolution
- Physical Solar Model
-
Wind Toolkit (gridded data).
The Wind Toolkit is broken apart by spatial extent as each represent an independent modeling effort.
