Previously, calling any function from logging would not be printed. This made it especially hard to debug issues because the provided logs would be incomplete.
This PR fixes this and converts all print statements intended for logging to calls of the logging library. Additionally, the log level and logging to a file in the CACHE_DIR can be adjusted using env variables.
