When Shift pressed (Outside of Line mode), The Pencil behaves as if it's being snapped to a perspective guide.
Note that just like in snapping for perspective guides (or through stabilization in Dynamics) the line formed isn't a perfect straight line. personally i'm not a fan of this (lines being imperfect) but this is as good as it gets (unless we later decide to implement #1129)
