As the output file created by pres_temp_4D_wr.c is read by pres_temp_4D_rd.c, pres_temp_4D_wr.c and pres_temp_4D_rd.c share some constants. It makes more sense to save those shared constants in a separate header file.
Also stop testing immediately when open failed
