DIXO OnChain is a podcast hosting platform built on Base (Coinbase's L2) that brings the Value4Value philosophy to the next layer — listeners earn $DIXO tokens for real engagement (completing episodes, answering in-episode quizzes, sharing) and creators get verified, on-chain audience data instead of anonymous download counts.
Why it belongs here:
The Podcasting 2.0 movement and DIXO share the same core belief: value should flow directly between creators and listeners, without platform intermediaries. We're doing that on Base with ERC-20 tokens instead of Lightning sats — same ethos, different rail.
DIXO has been in podcasting since 2005 — we launched the first Spanish-language podcast networks when podcasting was still finding its feet. This is not a tech company discovering podcasting. This is podcasting discovering Web3 and the future of audio.
Supports: Value, Funding, Guid

Hi, can you showcase the 3 Podcasting 2.0 tags used? There is no info (elementURL) on the PR on how are used.

And out of curiosity, what was the first Spanish-language podcast networks?

Hi Marzal!
I've already updated the PR with the elementURLs. Here's a summary of how each tag is implemented:
Value — Listeners earn $DIXO tokens for real engagement: completing episodes, answering in-episode quizzes, and sharing. 30% of hosting subscription revenue buys $DIXO from the open market monthly to fund the reward pool: https://onchain.dixo.com/tokenomics
Funding — Direct creator support and investment infrastructure for the platform: https://onchain.dixo.com/pitches/seed
Guid — DIXO implements a GUID Mapper that bridges traditional podcast episode GUIDs to on-chain Episode IDs — enabling verified, on-chain engagement tracking for any episode hosted or imported into the DIXO app. The platform then generates a Web3-enhanced RSS feed that distributes to all traditional podcast platforms, bridging Web2 and Web3 flawlessly. Patent pending.

And to answer your question: the first Spanish-language podcast network is Dixo — we launched in 2005. Twenty years later, here we are adding the Web3 layer on top.

This page tracks Podcasting 2.0 implementation, so I meant a link on how these tags are used:

Do you as a hosting platform create this tags on your feeds, or as a player use them?

Hola Marzal!
Here's the live RSS feed showing both podcast:funding and podcast:guid implemented at the channel level:
https://rss.dixo.com/api/rss/0x8775d48919440e73b4f8bd85b912ff09acad88f6

On the Value tag: we implement value exchange on Base (Coinbase's L2) using ERC-20 tokens rather than Lightning. We're aware this isn't a currently recognized type in the spec — but we'd love to propose type="erc20" as an addition to the namespace. DIXO would be the first implementation of Value4Value on an EVM chain. Same philosophy as Lightning — podcasters AND listeners earn real value for real engagement — different rail. We'd be happy to open a discussion in the podcast-namespace repo if that's the right place to do it.

To answer your second question: DIXO is both a hosting platform and a player. As a hosting platform we generate the podcast:funding and podcast:guid tags in the RSS feed. As a player, the DIXO app reads those feeds and triggers on-chain engagement — listeners earn $DIXO tokens for completing episodes, answering quizzes, and sharing (more than 16 engagements) and podcasters through the tokenomics flywheel.

Perfect, that's the usage that should explain the elementURLs.

We'd be happy to open a discussion in the podcast-namespace repo if that's the right place to do it.

Sure, there are people more qualified than me for those topics. This would be the place:
