Project Abstract

Kacheri Diaries AI is a blockchain-integrated legal assistant platform designed to streamline legal workflows for lawyers and clients. It features an AI-powered OCR system for document scanning and summarisation, a legal draft generator, and a blockchain-based vault for tamper-proof evidence storage. With dual interfaces for legal professionals and clients, it aims to increase transparency, efficiency, and trust in legal systems—starting in India and scaling globally via the Polkadot ecosystem.

Application Checklist

  • The application template has been copied and aptly renamed (project_name.md).
  • [ ✔️] I have read and followed the program guidelines.
  • [✔️] I am aware that, in order to receive a grant, I (and the entity I represent) have to successfully complete a KYC/KYB check.
  • The software delivered for this grant will be released under an open-source license specified in the application.

@SAM-1-CTRL Thanks for the submission. It looks like this may have been intended for the Polkadot Fast Grants program, which supports early MVPs and lighter applications.

The Open Source Grants are focused on deeper Polkadot-native projects (e.g. Substrate, ink!, XCM), which aren’t currently part of your proposal.

We recommend applying to Fast Grants instead, and if successful, you’re welcome to return with a stronger proposal later.
