FiND-STI stands for Fixed-point Investigation of Nonlinear Dynamics in STIs. A non-linear dynamical model analyzing the impact of HIV PrEP, risk compensation, and screening on STI epidemics.
This repository contains the code and analysis for the FiND-STI project.
We use a minimal compartmental model to explore the complex interplay between HIV pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP), behavioral risk compensation, and mandatory screening policies on the transmission dynamics of a curable STI. The analysis focuses on identifying fixed points and evaluating their stability to understand how different public health strategies can lead to distinct epidemiological outcomes and potential regime shifts.
