Browser Checker¶ ↑

This Rails extension checks that the users’ browser supports Javascript features required by a site, and displays a warning message if not.

Features¶ ↑

• Checks for lack of of Javascript support (i.e. noscript tag).

• Identifies browser and provides link to download the latest version.

• Identifies browser platform and provides links to other supported browsers.

Installation¶ ↑

Add this gem to your Gemfile:

gem 'browser_check'

Then add the following line to your view template, within the body element, at the point you’d like the warning message to appear (i.e. at the top or bottom):

<%= browser_check -%>

• jQuery (for browser support)

• HAML/SASS
