We have released Nearby-Share open source Android application, which is a common group secure communication mobile app in near-field environments, based on Wi-Fi Direct.

Highlights

  1. File transfer: File transfer does not require an external network connection. Support one-to-many communication.
  2. Common group authentication: Identify devices in your surrounding environment that are in the same group as you, and devices that are not in the same group do not perform file transfers.
  3. File content encryption: The data of transmitted file is encrypted using the AES encryption algorithm.
  4. Group information protection: The MD5 hash algorithm is used to encrypt the group information, and the group authentication process does not disclose the device group ID.
