Because some of the files in this archive are too big for what github will allow, it uses git lfs ("Large File Storage"). When checking out this archivel, you will need to make sure you have git lfs installed.
On Perlmutter, it seems to be there.
On Debian-based Linux, you can probably do apt install git-lfs.
On OSX, ... (somebody figure this out)
