This contains projects and labs taught by Dr.Hoffman in the Spring semester of 2022. All assighnments in this class use JAVA.
Project 1: Deck of Cards - Practices basic OOP using list manipualtion and basic logic.
Project 2: Array bag - implements a custom data structure, demonstrating resizing and set operations.
Project 3: Linked list - Builds a singly linked list from scratch with node-based operations, practicing pointers, traversal, and list manipulation
Project 4: Knapsack Problem – Solves the subset-sum problem by generating all possible subsets of a list of integers using bit-string mapping and recursion.
Project 5: President database - Uses arrays and file parsing to build linked relationships between presidents, states, and political action committees.
Project 6: Josephus Problem - Implements a circular doubly linked list, practicing pointer manipulation, node deletion, and linked list traversal in Java.
Project 7: Complex Pathfinding - Uses recursion and backtracking to navigate a grid-based swamp map, finding all valid paths from a start point to an exit.
