🔧 Installation & Setup

Prerequisites

  • Node.js 18+
  • npm or yarn
  • Firebase account
  • Stripe account (for payments)
  • Google AI API key (for Gemini)

1. Clone the repository

git clone https://github.com/your-repo/BrainMeal.git
cd BrainMeal

2. Install dependencies

npm install

3. Environment Setup

cp .env.example .env

Fill in your environment variables in .env:

  • Firebase configuration
  • Stripe keys
  • Google Gemini AI API key

4. Development

npm run dev

5. Build for Production

npm run build

6. Preview Production Build

npm run preview

🚀 Deployment

Vercel (Recommended)

  1. Connect your GitHub repository to Vercel
  2. Set environment variables in Vercel dashboard
  3. Deploy automatically on push to main branch

Netlify

  1. Build the project: npm run build
  2. Upload dist folder to Netlify
  3. Configure environment variables

Firebase Hosting

  1. Install Firebase CLI: npm install -g firebase-tools
  2. Login: firebase login
  3. Initialize: firebase init hosting
  4. Deploy: firebase deploy
