v1.2.2: "We have ALL the sides... but no main course"

28 Aug 10:12

Choose a tag to compare

  • Custom cylinders and tubes now allow you to set the number of segments (sides). You can even make regular polygons if you set it low enough!

Inspired by a thread on the Cura forum. Nobody actually asked for this, it just seemed like a good idea at the time.

v1.2.0 "Far less interesting than v1.1.0"

31 Mar 09:48

Choose a tag to compare

  • Added custom boxes, cylinders and tubes. No longer do you need to stretch things in certain directions. Or settle for a fixed inner diameter of tube!
  • Added a cone to the simple shapes.
  • Menu options which lead to a dialog box now end in ... - that might sound frightfully boring - because it is - but it's actually important for a user interface.

v1.1.0 "A bridge too far"

  • Added custom bridging shapes (box, tube, triangle) from an audience request.
See, I want your ideas! Please send them in.
  • Dead code continues to be removed. With the cleaning up I've done this time, it'll run imperceptibly faster.

v1.0.2 "I should probably test the versions I support"

Commits

  • 2d474a2: Update i18n template (Slashee-the-Cow)
  • 9dc9641: Fix for 5.0 and 5.1. Prune more dead code. (Slashee the Cow) - Fixes #6

v1.0.1 "Look ma, a new settings box!"

Look ma, a new settings box!

That's about the only main change here. Some things behind the scenes:

  • The new settings box will have broken the existing translations so I removed them. If you're happy to help translate, I'm happier to have your help!
  • Pruned some old and unused code.
  • Fixed a couple of typos which wouldn't affect functionality and one or two that might.

v1.0.0 "I hope this works"

Howdy y'all! It's that time of when everyone's favourite Slashee (do you know any others?) tries something and hopes it doesn't crash and burn.

I forked "Calibration Shapes" from 5@xes, removed a bunch of stuff that other plugins do better, took out old code so I don't have to do some things twice, and obviously changed the names in a whole bunch of places. Not a complete replacement, but hopefully enough to sate the needs of people who miss it.

The OpenSCAD files for all the tests (except the ones I removed) are still here if you're the sort of person who likes playing with that sort of thing.

There's still more I'd like to do (like make the "default size" dialog prettier, an actual dialog and clean up the code behind it) but that's for when I learn/take inspiration from others/steal QML code.)
